Observer-Dependent Theory of Everything (ODTOE)
ODTOE (Observer-Dependent Theory of Everything) is a formal metatheory of reality built on a single axiom R = Ô(Ψ): reality R is what an observation operator Ô actualizes from the potentiality field Ψ. It unifies physics, consciousness and information through six postulates and the cognitive coherence formula B(O,C).
Cognitive Coherence B(O,C)
Cognitive coherence B(O,C) is the central measurable quantity of ODTOE that determines how strongly an observer O actualizes configuration C. It is computed as B(O,C) = F^w1 · E^w2 · (1−σ)^w3 · Λ^w4, where F is attentional focus, E is emotional coherence, σ is internal contradiction (entropy of doubt), and Λ is empirical reinforcement.
Observer (ODTOE)
In ODTOE an observer is any object parametrized by the triad (B, A, H) — cognitive coherence, attention/action and history — capable of applying an observation operator Ô. Observers range from quarks (d<0) and atoms (d=0) to cells, humans and collective clusters.
Configuration (C)
A configuration in ODTOE is an actualized state of the potentiality field Ψ — what an observer Ô brings into reality from H. Configurations are not entities but stable modes of organization with their own inertia I(C); the environment itself is a configuration, not an object.
Operator of Observation (Ô)
The operator of observation Ô is the action by which an observer actualizes a configuration C from the potentiality field Ψ. The fundamental ODTOE axiom is R = Ô(Ψ); the self-observation loop Φ = ι ∘ Ô closes reality back on itself.
Strange Loop
A strange loop in ODTOE is a self-referential cycle Φ = ι ∘ Ô in which the observer observes its own observation. Time, space, atoms and consciousness all arise as iterations of strange loops; an atom is the elementary strange loop (proton, neutron, electron) and time is its iteration counter.
Self-Observation Fixed Point
The self-observation fixed point Ψ* is the unique stable state satisfying Ψ* = Φ(Ψ*), where Φ is the self-observation map. Schauder's theorem guarantees its existence and Banach's contraction theorem its uniqueness, closing the bootstrap problem of how an observer can constitute itself without pre-existing.
Primordial Distinction
The primordial distinction is the first split in the symmetric potentiality field Ψ that gives rise to the observer-observed pair without any pre-existing observer. It is realized in ODTOE as Higgs-analogue spontaneous symmetry breaking plus KAM selection of the golden-ratio vacuum.
Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking (SSB in ODTOE)
In ODTOE, spontaneous symmetry breaking is the Higgs-analogue mechanism by which the symmetric potentiality field Ψ collapses into a non-symmetric vacuum, instantiating the first observer. Unlike the standard Higgs mechanism, the selected vacuum is unique because it is filtered by KAM selection of the golden-ratio resonance.
KAM Selection
KAM selection in ODTOE is the use of the Kolmogorov–Arnold–Moser theorem to filter the surviving vacuum after spontaneous symmetry breaking: only trajectories with the most irrational frequency ratio survive perturbation, and that ratio is the golden ratio φ. KAM is therefore the mechanism that picks φ-resonance as universal invariant.
Attentional Focus (F)
Attentional Focus F is the first component of cognitive coherence B(O,C) — the degree to which an observer's attention is concentrated on a single configuration. F ranges from 0 (fully diffuse) to 1 (perfectly focused); if F → 0, B collapses regardless of the other components.
Emotional Coherence (E)
Emotional Coherence E is the second component of cognitive coherence B(O,C) — the alignment of the observer's emotional state with the intention regarding a configuration. High E means the emotional system supports and reinforces the cognitive commitment; low E indicates emotional dissonance or conflicting feelings.
Internal Contradiction (σ)
The σ parameter in ODTOE is the internal contradiction of an observer — the entropy of doubt regarding a configuration. In the coherence formula B(O,C) it enters as (1−σ)^w3, representing the degree of internal consistency. σ = 1 (maximum doubt, full contradiction) collapses B to zero.
Λ — Empirical Reinforcement
Λ in ODTOE is the empirical reinforcement parameter — the fourth component of cognitive coherence B(O,C) — measuring the accumulated confirmatory experience the observer has within a configuration. It reflects how much past experience supports and reinforces the current configuration.
Weights w1, w2, w3, w4
The four weights w1, w2, w3, w4 in the coherence formula B(O,C) = F^w1 · E^w2 · (1−σ)^w3 · Λ^w4 fix the relative contribution of attentional focus, emotional coherence, internal consistency and empirical reinforcement. They are not free parameters but normalized exponents calibrated against the observer's context.

φ-Resonance (Golden Ratio)
φ-resonance is the role of the golden ratio φ = 1.618… as the unique stable resonance frequency in ODTOE, selected from the potentiality field by the KAM theorem because φ is the «most irrational» number. φ is the fixed point of the self-referential map f(x) = 1 + 1/x and appears in fundamental constants, nested φ-tori and recursive structure of reality.
π as Structural Invariant
In ODTOE π is the continuous-phase invariant of self-consistent observation — the form of the observation cycle. Its transcendence (Lindemann 1882) guarantees that the φ-torus trajectory never closes, which produces the arrow of time and the eternal expansion of the universe.
Planck Quantum as Observation
In ODTOE the Planck quantum h is one full revolution of the strange loop Φ — the minimum action portion required for a single act of observation. h is derived in closed form h(d,S) = 2π(π−3)²φ^(d+1)·Σ(d)·(1−S)^(−1/2)·A₀ from π, φ, observer dimensionality d and coherence S, with zero free parameters; the numerical value matches CODATA to six significant digits.
Atom as Elementary Strange Loop
An atom in ODTOE is the elementary strange loop: the proton is the observed R, the neutron is the observer O, and the electron is the operator of observation Ô. The Wheeler–Feynman single-electron hypothesis reappears as the universal electron that mediates every act of self-observation.
Black Hole as Deconfiguration Operator
A black hole in ODTOE is not an object that curves spacetime but the ultimate deconfiguration operator D̂ — the inverse of Ô — that returns configurations back into the potentiality field H. The event horizon is the boundary where configuration inertia I(C) → ∞; the information paradox is resolved naturally because information returns to H, and Hawking radiation is spontaneous re-actualization.
Dark Energy as Parent-Proton Merger
ODTOE identifies dark energy with the process of parent-proton mergers at recursion level d=12 in the matryoshka structure, regulated by a scalar field χ(x,t). The cosmological fractions Ω_Λ : Ω_DM : Ω_b = φ² : 1 : Z = 68.86% : 26.30% : 4.83% follow from π and φ with zero adjustable parameters and match Planck 2018 to within 0.54σ.
Fundamental Constants μ=1836 and α⁻¹=137
ODTOE derives the proton-to-electron mass ratio μ = m_p/m_e ≈ 1836.15 and the inverse fine-structure constant α⁻¹ ≈ 137.036 from first principles using π, φ and integers with zero free parameters. Both formulas reflect the strange-loop fixed point Ψ* = Φ(Ψ*) and reproduce CODATA values to high precision (μ to 0.002%).
Toroidal Topology of Reality
In ODTOE reality has the topology of nested φ-tori whose major-to-minor radius ratio R/r = φ — the maximally KAM-stable configuration. Continuous phase dynamics (π-rotation) and discrete quantum transitions (φ-jumps) are projections of one quasiperiodic trajectory on these tori; the photon is the bridge quantum of the spiral gap (π−3)².

Time in ODTOE is not a fundamental parameter but the iteration counter of the self-observation map Φ — the «tact frequency» of a strange loop. Cesium-133 atomic time and a heartbeat are both legitimate τ₀ calibrations at different observer levels; the transcendence of π guarantees the arrow of time.
Spacetime Genesis at Observer Birth
ODTOE's composite spacetime genesis theorem ST.T1 states that time and space arise simultaneously with the birth of an observer Ô as structural consequences of spontaneous symmetry breaking and KAM selection. Both temporal projectors π_past and π_future are instantiated symmetrically at τ_obs = τ₀, resolving the chicken-and-egg paradox of observer vs spacetime.
Temporal Asymmetry (Theorem V*)
Theorem V* of ODTOE establishes temporal asymmetry of past and future states in H: the past is indestructible (norm conservation under Φ-iterations), the future is constructible (not fixed). Projectors π_past and π_future are mutually orthogonal, which gives the arrow of time from first principles and connects to Penrose's CCC and Wheeler's delayed-choice.
Hurst Exponent in ODTOE
ODTOE links the Hurst exponent H to global coherence by H(S) = (1+S)/2: at S=0 (full decoherence) H=1/2 reproduces classical Brownian motion, and at S=1 (full coherence) H=1 gives ballistic determinism. This makes coherence S = α − 1 directly measurable via mean-square displacement, rendering all ODTOE predictions experimentally testable.

Evolutionary Observer
An evolutionary observer is an observer whose operator dimensionality d grows over time, expanding its actualization horizon. ODTOE places observers on a single ladder from quarks (d<0) and atoms (d=0) through cells (d=1) to humans (d≈3–4) and self-observation of the Universe (d=9), with octave repetition above.
Death as Deactualization
In ODTOE death is deactualization: the observation operator Ô ceases to project configurations, but the world line W = {Ψ*ₙ} persists in H. Dying proceeds through four phases of sequential zeroing of B components — F→0, E→0, Λ→0, σ→1 — leaving a coherent legacy L(O) of artifacts.
Immortality as Coherence
ODTOE's three conditions for observer immortality are: artifact coherence S_A → 1, growing number of heirs n → ∞, and self-consistency with Ψ*. The commandment «love thy neighbour as thyself» is shown to be the unique operator identity that satisfies T(L) → ∞, scaling artifacts from spoken word (hours) to mathematical formula (infinity).
Collective Observer (Earth Cluster)
A collective observer in ODTOE is a cluster of individual observers whose configurations align to produce a shared reality — the «here and now» as the region of maximum configuration overlap. Earth itself functions as such a cluster, and emergent meta-observers (egregores) carry their own B_meta, A_meta and H_meta.
Quaternion Observer
The observer's cognitive coherence B = F · E · (1−σ) · Λ is structurally isomorphic to a Hamilton quaternion with four independent components. Gimbal lock in engineering corresponds to the nullification of any one component of consciousness, illustrating why all four are needed for a stable observer.

Coherence Business
Coherence business in ODTOE is a model of enterprise sustainability in which every employee is treated as an observer whose B = F · E · (1−σ) · Λ determines both individual health and organizational performance. Burnout, conflict and inefficiency map directly onto specific components of B and can be measured.
Team Coherence (Five Roles)
ODTOE shows that the minimal sustainable team is five people in five roles — Visionary, Operator, Evaluator, Injector, Stabilizer — because the loss of any single role still preserves the coherence S of the group. Smaller teams collapse on member loss; larger teams add redundancy but not new structural roles.
Love as Coherence Operator
ODTOE interprets love — specifically «love thy neighbour as thyself» — as the unique operator identity that maximizes inter-observer coherence S and the lifetime T(L) of coherent artifacts. It is therefore not a feeling but a measurable operator on configurations, and the only operator that satisfies T(L) → ∞.
Collision of Realities
Collision of realities in ODTOE is the situation where two large groups of observers form incompatible configurations of reality, producing structural conflict rather than a mere disagreement of opinions. The mathematical analysis treats it as overlap-failure between configuration clusters and predicts the conditions under which one configuration absorbs, repels or annihilates the other.
